Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share and protect information, and the choices you have.
Last updated October 12, 2026
Cash Loan Realms, LLC (the “Company”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the people who use its website. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, share and safeguard information, so you can make informed decisions when using our Site and Service.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Site” refers to the Company’s website at cashloanrealms.com. “Service” refers to the guides, calculators, tools, My Loan Desk, email newsletter and other features available through the Site. The terms “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the Company. “You” refers to you, as a user of our Site or Service.
By accessing our Site or Service, you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use, and you consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Cash Loan Realms publishes educational information about borrowing. We are not a lender or loan broker, and we do not take loan applications. If you submit a loan request or any other information on a partner’s website, that partner’s privacy policy, not this one, governs what happens to it (see Section V).
I. Information we collect
We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information is information that cannot be used to identify you personally, such as anonymous usage data, referring and exit pages and URLs, browser and platform types, and preferences you choose on the Site. Personal Information is information that identifies you or could reasonably be linked to you, such as your name and email address.
1. Information you provide to us
- Email sign-up. When you subscribe to The Ledger Letter, we collect your email address and any optional details you choose to give, such as your first name and the topics you’re interested in, along with the date, time and page where you signed up.
- Messages. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message.
We do not offer user accounts, and our calculators and tools do not ask you to identify yourself. Please do not send us account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive financial information.
2. Information we receive from third parties
We may receive Personal Information, such as your name, email address and the general topic you were interested in, from marketing and data partners. These include websites where you asked to receive information about loans or personal finance and agreed to be contacted by their partners. We use this information to send you emails about our guides and tools and, where permitted, offers from our partners. You can unsubscribe at any time (see Section IV).
3. Information collected via technology
When you visit the Site, our servers and the service providers that host, secure and deliver it automatically receive information that your browser or device sends, such as:
- your IP address, browser type and device characteristics;
- operating system, language preferences and referring URLs;
- approximate location (such as country or region) inferred from your IP address;
- the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and other information about how you use the Site.
Links in our emails and partner links may include campaign or referral codes, such as a topic code or a partner tracking identifier. These codes identify the campaign or placement, not you personally. We use them to understand which links bring readers to the Site, to suggest relevant guides, and so our partners can credit us when you use a partner link.
The Site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
4. Information stored only in your browser
Some features save information in your own browser’s local storage. That information stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- My Loan Desk: the guides, tools and topic pages you view on the Site, and topics you choose, used to suggest what to read next;
- numbers you type into calculators and your checklist progress, so they’re there when you return;
- your display preferences, such as light or dark theme.
You can turn off My Loan Desk’s reading history, or clear it, on My Loan Desk. Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes everything it has stored.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We and our partner-link technology use first-party cookies and browser storage to remember the campaign and referral codes in the link you arrived by (for example a publisher or placement code), so that when you use a partner link the partner can credit the referral. The Site does not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies; if we add them, we will update this Privacy Policy first and offer choices where the law requires. Partner websites you visit through our links may set their own cookies, which are governed by their policies. You can delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings.
6. Children’s privacy
The Site and the Service are intended for adults and are not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it as soon as possible. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at [email protected].
II. How we use and share information
Personal Information
We use Personal Information to:
- send the emails you signed up for or agreed to receive, including our guides, tool updates and, where permitted, information about offers from our partners;
- respond to your questions and requests and provide support;
- ask for feedback and improve the Site and Service;
- keep the Site secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We share Personal Information with:
- Service providers that perform services for us, such as website hosting, security and email delivery. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- Marketing and advertising partners, as described in Section 2 above and in Section V, when you interact with partner offers or links in our emails. This can include passing a referral code with your click so partners can measure and credit referrals.
- Legal and safety recipients, if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process or an enforceable governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Use, including investigating potential violations; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or the Company.
Non-Personal Information
We use Non-Personal Information to improve the Site and Service, personalize suggestions, and understand trends and how the Site is used. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you with our partners, advertisers and other third parties.
Business transfers
If we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or part of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. Any acquirer may continue to process your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.
III. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, including encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) and firewalls. We limit access to Personal Information to people and service providers who need it to operate the Service. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by a breach of these safeguards.
We keep Personal Information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, for example for as long as you remain subscribed, and then delete or de-identify it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
IV. Your rights and choices
- Email. You can stop receiving marketing emails from us at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, on our email preferences page, or by emailing [email protected]. Even after you unsubscribe, we may send administrative messages, such as responses to your requests.
- Browser storage and cookies. You can turn off or clear My Loan Desk’s reading history on My Loan Desk, and remove everything the Site stores by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
- Access, correction and deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know what Personal Information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of certain uses or disclosures, including the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. You may also have the right to appeal our decision on your request.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request” or write to us at the address below. We will verify your request using the information we hold, such as your email address, and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
V. Links to other websites and partner offers
The Site includes links to other websites, including government and nonprofit resources and, in clearly labelled sponsored sections, partners such as loan-matching services. We may be compensated when you use some of these links (see How we make money). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of other websites.
When you leave our Site, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. Many loan-matching services and lenders ask for personal and financial information and share it with lenders and other companies in their networks, who may contact you by phone, email or text. Read each website’s privacy policy and consent language before you submit any information.
VI. Changes to our Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. If we make significant changes to how we use Personal Information we have already collected, we will provide prominent notice on the Site or by email before the change takes effect, and obtain your consent where the law requires it.
